nagstamon software package provides Nagios status monitor which takes place in systray or on desktop, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install nagstamon
nagstamon is installed in your system.
Make ensure the nagstamon package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep nagstamon *
You will get with nagstamon package name, version, architecture and description in a table
